Random crashes really bothered me

I remember playing the original Dragon Quest 8 on PS2 and really enjoying it, but I no longer have it. So I figured Id try this version. Well... It wasnt immediate, but I encountered crashes often.

It would be as soon as I would normally enter a battle, it would happen as I try to enter a building, heck it would even happen if I changed rooms! Anything with a screen transition would have a chance to crash the game. This honestly made me annoyed, and didnt find the game as enjoyable as I did when I played on the PS2. Not to mention the lack of voice acting and orchestrated music, but thats just me nitpicking. Either way. It got to the point where I personally didnt find it to be rather playable. Not pleased with this at all.
